The Funding Small Businesses During Shutdown Act aims to provide funding to ensure that loans under certain Small Business Administration programs can continue to be serviced during government shutdowns. • This could help local small businesses maintain access to loan servicing during periods of government funding lapses. • It may also impact local financial institutions that participate in SBA loan programs by ensuring continuity in servicing. • A consideration could be how the appropriations are allocated and whether they adequately cover the needs of all affected programs during a shutdown.
